Tournaments

Wizards Arena hosts three weekly tournaments for wizards of varying levels. Participation is optional. Tournaments are simple. Subscribe, pay the registration fee, choose your spell, and the fight algorithm does the rest. Registration fees are in either the $WIZA token or KDA.

Tournaments are divided into four rounds. Before each round begins, wizards are randomly paired for head-to-head battles. Medals are awarded for each round won and are always visible in each wizards NFT page. At the end of the tournament rounds, the wizards with the most medals split 90% of the entrance fees. During a 12 or 8 League season each wizard’s fights are also tracked with an ELO score. At the conclusion of a Season, the wizards with the best ELO scores win additional prizes awarded in either KDA or the $WIZA token. In the event wizards have the same ELO scores, single round playoffs will determine the top wizards for a season.

The weekly tournaments match the three level caps in Wizards Arena.

  • The Farmers Tournament has a level cap of 175 and is held on Mondays. The entry fee is 40 $WIZA (it can change) per wizard and participation awards 2 AP. This tournament also runs in an 8 League Season.

  • The Main Weekly Tournament has a level cap of 375 and is held on Wednesdays. The entry fee is 4 KDA (it can change) per wizard and participation awards 30 $WIZA, 3 AP or 1 spell for wizards with less than 4 spells, and 2 DP if a wizard has less the 32 DP. This tournament also runs in a 12 League Season.

  • The Apprentice Tournament has a level cap of 275 and is held on Fridays. The entry fee is 70 $WIZA (it can change) per wizard and participation awards 3 AP. This tournament also runs in an 8 League Season.

Lords of Wizards World

The premise of gameplay is simple. Each of the nine regions of Wizards Arena has its own leaderboard. Whichever wizard has the highest ELO score is the Lord of that region.

Each subscribed wizard can do a maximum of 5 fights in a 24-hour period. For each fight, your selected wizard will challenge the current Lord of one of the nine regions. There are no limits to the daily fights. You can fight in five different regions or do all of your fights in the same region.

Winning fights will increase your wizards ELO score and decrease the ELO score of the current Lord. ELO scores change rapidly since Lords of the regions fight challengers simultaneously. The more you lose, the larger the gap gets between your ELO score and that of the current Lord.

Game Play and Region Characteristics

Each of the nine regions has three possible element boosts. These boosts are associated with the element’s closest to that region. Each fight will have a random boost chosen from the three possible elements in that region. Choose your wizards, regions, and fights wisely to take advantage of the boosts each region offers.

ELO points awarded and deducted vary depending on the level of the wizards fighting. For example, a higher-level wizard that loses to a lower-level wizards will have more points deducted than losing to a wizard of the same level. A lower-level wizard that defeats a higher-level wizard will have more points awarded than winning against a wizard of the same level.

Seasons last 3 weeks.

You can subscribe as many wizards as you want, but you cannot fight your own wizards.

The starting ELO score for each wizard at the beginning of a season is 500.

Registration is open all season; however, the later you subscribe the more difficult it becomes to recover points your opponents have accumulated.

Participation in Lords of Wizard World awards each subscribed wizard 10 AP.
